Beachcomber Cruises Picton: Magic Mail Run
Experience a cruise with a difference on the Beachcomber Mail Boat. The vessel is actually a postal service, delivering mail and groceries to the families that live in the remote inlets and bays of Queen Charlotte Sound. Join the skipper on their ever-changing rounds as they provide an informative commentary about the history of the Marlborough Sound, as well as some great stories about the families who've called it home over the years. There's no other cruise like it! In the summer months and calm days of winter the Mail Boat Cruise stops in Ship Cove - a spot where the famous explorer Captain James Cook stopped his great ship the Endeavour in January 1770 to replenish stores of food, water and wood. This half day adventure operates Monday to Saturday year around.
Prices are in New Zealand Dollars (NZD).
The tour is available 6 days a week from Monday to Saturday. It starts at 13:30. Christmas Day and New Year Day are holidays.
