Opened in 1925, the Museum is set in one of the country’s best-loved heritage buildings, and is located in Auckland Domain, one of the city’s most beautiful parks. Auckland Museum is easy to reach, accessible and family friendly.
Māori cultural performances
Join our talented performers on a vibrant journey through the story of Aotearoa New Zealand and Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland. Recognised as one of the best Māori cultural experiences in New Zealand, the show culminates in a spine-tingling haka.
After the show, enjoy the opportunity to meet and take photos with our friendly performers. Auckland Museum is the only venue in Auckland offering daily performances.
Prices are in New Zealand Dollars (NZD). The museum is open each day except Christmas Day. Working hours are from 10:00 to 17:00.
Daily Maori show starts at 11:00, 12:00 и 13:30. Extra show at 14:30 is conducted from the 1st of November until the 31st of March.
Total duration of the tour
You need to have at least 2 hours to visit all museum's exhibitions. The Maori show is 30 minutes in duration.
